This is a First Place Award, though it is not an Official Selection, it is still an honor, and I will be thrilled with this achievement. 📈. The festival will take place in November; 2024, in Toronto, in Canada. And I am particularly glad to inform you that the outstanding, talented actress Vivica A. Fox will be already officially announced as a Celebrity Guest! 🌟

Now, before I move on to the documentary’s details that bring us this far, let me narrate the story that has been put together in the film. The film-to story tells about this age-old story which has been told by the ancients through the most Southern of the Western Hemisphere, the Muisca people who settled in the Andes, present-day Columbia. The Muisca people are renowned for their extensive understanding of minerals and gemstones.

They indicated that there was also a strange rite over and above the swearing-in such that every new chief had to go on a vow of silence for a drought period confined in a cave and without salt. After this, the new chief moved to Lake Guatavita to carry out some sacred rituals. In this ceremony, the chief-to-be was decorated with gold jewelry and was completely covered with gold powder. They stood on a raft decorated with the best of the tribe’s offerings which included colored gems and gold. Then the raft was taken out on Lake Guatavita and people offered gold coins and precious stones to the Water God marking the beginning of a new ruler and to the Water God who inhabited the lake.

During the fifteenth century and the sixteenth century and one other, they were Spaniards who were fascinated by this myth and went out to find the city of great riches that was said to be lying in the earth and the waters. The lake Guatavita was discovered by them in the year 1545 and the lake was drained with the hope that a city of El Dorado would be found, in place of the city of gold was gold that had been harvested from the lake. Many other explorers including Gonzalo, Francisco, Sir Walter, and others sought the city of gold but in vain. They continued to do so for years yet El Dorado was nowhere to be seen.
A maxim states that the real treasure in the World is not in a laboratory, a museum, or a library but in the graveyard. This speaks of fullness where so many concepts so many wishes and so many hot ideas and talents lie unfashioned. Every one of us has an inner treasure that is yearning to be unearthed. The film is supposed to do just that and motivate the audience to go on the quest and reveal themselves.
